Assessments

Dr. Hald performs psychological evaluations for infants (as young as six months of age), children, and young teenagers.

He has particular interest in the parent-child relationship; attachment and trauma; neurodevelopmental issues and concerns; abuse and neglect; various learning problems; and autism spectrum disorders.

Psychotherapy

Dr. Hald offers psychotherapy for people of all ages—from the very young, to older adults—as well as families. This work involves exploring how our histories impact the present and our ability to cope with varying degrees of stress, toxic stress, and trauma. Dr. Hald’s approach involves an interpersonal focus that is influenced by attachment and interpersonal neurobiology, as well as how mental health and wellness are grounded in relationships.

Supervision

Clinical supervision is available for both Master’s-level and doctoral-level interns in psychotherapy and psychology at Dr. Hald’s practice, Options in Psychology, LLC.

At OIP, early-career therapists are nurtured in a developmental process over a period of time to earn their full license to be a mental health practitioner in Nebraska.

Consultation

Dr. Hald regularly provides both clinical and reflective consultation to a number of community agencies and individuals, including schools, home visiting agencies, preschools, early intervention teams, caseworkers, attorneys, guardian ad litems, and other mental health providers. He also offers consultation to medical providers, including psychiatrists and pediatricians.

Dr. Hald has held leadership positions in various professional and youth sports organizations for the last 30+ years, including:
